Biography

Terry D. “Terry” Johnson was born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota.

He graduated from the University of Minnesota and attended USAF pilot training at Williams AFB, Phoenix, Arizona.

He flew F-102 and F-101 all-weather interceptors for the Minnesota and Texas Air National Guard units, worked as a production test pilot for Gates Learjet, then, spent 30+ years as a pilot for North Central/Northwest/Delta Airlines, retiring in 2003.

Later in his airline career, he became a professional race car driver with sponsorship’s from Mazda, Nissan and Chevrolet.

Even later he got into motorcycle and dirt bike racing with wife, Claudia.

He accumulated over 20,000 hours of military and civilian flying time in a great and enjoyable career.
