Rob Van Sice – grew up in Montana and Idaho and entered the USAF as an ROTC Distinguished Graduate (DG) from Montana State University in August 1967.
As a UPT DG, he qualified for one of the first “front seat” F-4 assignments in 1968. He flew 150 combat missions at Phu Cat AB in Vietnam, then proceeded through a variety of F-4 assignments, including F-4C Wild Weasel Instructor, F-4 Fighter Weapons School Instructor, Flight Commander, and Wing Chief of Weapons and Tactics.
He transitioned to the F-16 and became a Squadron Commander and Wing Director of Operations (where he flew 23 Combat Missions in Desert Storm).
In 1994 he retired from the USAF as a Colonel and spent the next 13 years working in Defense Industries.
He fully retired in 2008 and resides in Tucson.
