Lt. Col. Norman Sandell, USAF Ret., Last Flight April 25, 2012. Born June 25, 1930 in Winfield, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Willard Sandell; sister, Charlotte Crawford; and son, Gary Stephen. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie; son David and wife, Cathy; daughter, Julie Schaper; granddaughters, Lindsay Sandell Jimenez and husband, Carlos; Moll and Rachel Schaper; great-grandsons, Isaiah Jimenez, James and Tyler Outland.

Norm attended Winfield schools and was a graduate of Wichita State University. He was a decorated Cold War and Vietnam veteran. Always a loving family man and a friend to all whose great sense of humor served him well to the end of life’s journey.
