Biography
Marty Lenzini – attended the University of New Mexico under the Navy ROTC program, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a commission as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1961.
After Navy pilot training, he flew A-4B aircraft at Cherry Point, NC. Before going to Vietnam, he received an Aeronautical Engineer’s Degree at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
In Vietnam he flew 350 Combat missions in the A-4 and was awarded four DFCs and 24 Air Medals. He flew the A-4, A-6, A-7 and F-4 at the Naval Missile Center, Point Mugu, CA. working in Missile Systems test and development.
His command tours included an A-4 Squadron and a Marine Aircraft Group flying A-4, A-6, A-7 and EA-6B aircraft.
He attended the National War College in Washington, D.C. and retired as a Colonel in1987 after a tour at HQMC.
After his military career, he worked at Hughes Aircraft Company/Raytheon as an International Programs Manager.
