Gordy Williams – graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point, in 1957 and took his commission in the Air Force.
He attended pilot training at Laredo AFB, TX followed by an assignment to F-100s in the Philippines.
He transferred back to England AFB, LA and deployed to Vietnam early in the war.
He went to Fighter Weapons School followed by a Navy exchange tour where he flew two combat tours off Navy carriers in the F-4 and A-7.
He commanded an A-10 Wing in the U.K. followed by assignment as Commander 13th AF in the Philippines.
He retired after 35 years in the military as a Major General.
